At last after trying for years to be treated with anti tnf even though passing the criteria, 2 yrs ago ,I have finally done it. We had to change health authorities to see the rheumy who diagnosed me 7yrs ago. this was in jan, He is a super dr. an I can do , chap. & said that he would put me on cimzia ,after doing my das. test., which I passed again.
Any way , the health care at home nurse came, this Tues. &showed me how to inject, 2doses. I had been so anxious the weeks before, worrying about an adverse reactoin but it was fine,Felt better than I do after aMTX injection.Like you jenny the next day I was in less pain & my joints unstiffened Quicker, I was able to get up from sitting in a stronger way ,with less pain. Just feeling less exhausted with a bit of extra joy in life, some hope at last. What with the good news from nice as well. its a happy day,A change from a moaning me!!I hope you all have a great day . regards to all rose xx

Hi Rose,

I'm Lorna I joined the site in March, I've had RA for almost 3 years now. I was on the triple therapy but since been taken off Sulph I no longer need it, still on MTX and Hydrox and Folic Acid I keep well now thank goodness. I've been married for 28 years to Ken and have 3 daughters. Are you new too or have you been on before seems like you may have, anyway nice to hear from you hope the meds continue to work. So pleased, over joyed and delighted it went so well.

I have to say the same is with me- almost instant improvement of RA- much perkier in myself. Less swelling and bloods MUCH better.
(still a way to go though)

I know exactly what you mean about getting up though- I dont really know why it is easier but it DEFINITELY is!

A few mins after having the jab I get a sore throat and then it goes about a day or so later. Thus far the only side effect! I can deal with that one!

So pleased the new dr is working out. I have a good consultant, his juniors are a bit hopeless though. His registrar is very nice.
